Few realize the expense of running such a significant event, which includes band sponsorship fees, insurance, and advertising. Some mistakenly believe the Town runs and pays for the parade; it does not. The Huntington Ancient Order of Hibernians has organized and produced all of the costs of this extraordinary parade every year since 1930 (there were no parades during WWII).
The AOH raises funds through a special St. Patrick's Day journal insert published in Newsday. Newsday's pull-out special section contains all the parade specifics, a history of the parade, pictures, and advertisements paid for by our generous sponsors.
