About The Actor’s Playground! Acting Technique for Live Performance

Step onto the acting playground! In this class, students will choose, or be given material from, either a play or musical, be paired up with a partner, and dive into fun exercises, theatre games, and script work to help bring characters to life! You’ll build a stronger toolkit for tackling a scene or song, learn what it means to be a good scene partner, get tips for memorization, and explore key acting skills such as active listening, imagination, observation, objectives, and sense of play! Each student will receive individualized coaching, with plenty of room to put their own point of view on the story. Culminates in a final presentation of work for friends and family!

Class caps at 12 participants
