Join me on Monday, September 14, from 5:30 to 6:30(ish) pm at the East Rochester Library for our FREE monthly Quiet Write at the Library.
In celebration of International Dot Day on 9/15, we'll be inspired by the children's book The Dot, by Peter H Reynolds.
We'll have fun with collaborative prompts and being present with the least that we can do creatively: making a mark and writing our name.
* I'll have writing materials and art supplies, so all you need to do is show up.
* ZERO art or writing experience necessary. You literally cannot do this wrong.
* While I'm actively encouraging adults to take advantage of this opportunity to create using child-like play, writing prompts, and art supplies, yes, you can bring your young people with you. They're the masters at creating with abandon and can teach us a few things.
* Note that Beau will likely be with me, sleeping in the stacks. If you have any concerns, definitely let me know.
Come make your mark. Let me know if you have any questions at joannebrokaw@gmail.com (please put Quiet Write in the subject line).
See you Monday!
Happy creating
Joanne
