Oysters, Clams, Scallops Oh MY!
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 05/12/2018
Join Rachel from the Shinnecock Restoration Program, as she guides children to build a mock reef out of paper, markers and some fun cutouts.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
During this program, she will share information and video clips about some of the critters we find in the bay, and both adults & children will learn about why shellfish are important, and what this program is doing to help local shellfish. Check out a ‘live oyster performance’ of how fast they filter water.
A program for all ages, children must be accompanied by an adult.
Reservations are required for this free program.
*Times, dates, and prices of any activity posted to our calendars are subject to change. Please be sure to click through directly to the organization’s website to verify.
