Sleep problems are common in childhood, but it can be hard for families to know what is developmentally typical, what may signal a problem, and what actually helps. This talk will cover the basics of healthy sleep in children, common myths and misconceptions, and practical strategies families can use to support better sleep. Special attention will also be given to sleep challenges in children with neurodevelopmental differences, including autism, ADHD, and developmental disabilities. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of children’s sleep and realistic ideas they can apply at home.

Participants will learn:

  • What healthy and developmentally typical sleep looks like in children
  • Common myths that can interfere with good sleep habits
  • Practical strategies to support sleep, including for children with neurodevelopmental differences
