LearnUp Centers

LearnUp Centers helps struggling readers become confident, independent readers through one-on-one structured literacy tutoring. Our reading program is built on Orton-Gillingham methods, structured phonics, speech therapy, and the most recent discoveries in brain research to teach all kids to read—fast. Our certified tutors work with each child individually to build the skills they need to become independent readers.

In about 60 hours of tutoring, the average LearnUp student gains over two grade levels in reading. We've served 900+ students over 10 years in San Francisco, and our results are consistent across all ages, types, and levels of learners.

We offer one-on-one distance learning tutoring virtually wherever a student has access to a computer and wifi, and in-person tutoring at our clinic in San Francisco. We teach students of all ages — from 6 through adulthood, including English Language Learners. Financial aid is available.
